A course for HCAs, Clinical Support Services and Registered Professionals to explore the care and management of individuals in the last few days of life.
What will I learn?
At the end of the course I will be able to:
- Recognise when someone is in the last days of life
- Manage common symptoms
- Understand the importance of holistic care
- Understand the interventions required to support individuals and their families
- Understand the process of verification of an expected adult death
- Understand the benefits of anticipatory medication
Duration:
HCAs / Clinical Support Services must attend the morning training (3.5 hours)
Registered professionals must attend all day (7 Hours)
